Traffic alert: I-75 clear again following crashes in Lee, Collier


Traffic is moving again on Interstate 75 following two crashes in Southwest Florida.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the interstate is clear of traffic in Estero and Naples.

Earlier reporting:

Two crashes are affecting traffic on Interstate 75 Monday evening.

A vehicle fire in northbound lanes at mile marker 119 in Estero has caused a major traffic jam, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.

Drivers should avoid the area or expect delays.

A separate crash at mile marker 106 in Collier County also is causing traffic. Emergency vehicles are causing a roadblock in the right lane of northbound traffic, FHP reports.
