(WXYZ) – A severe semi-truck fire Wednesday around 12:20 a.m. has left a portion of I-75 near Toledo shut down this morning.
The accident happened on the northbound side of I-75 at the Ottawa River Rd. exit — just three miles south of the Ohio-Michigan border.
Officers say a driver of a car carrier slowed down to avoid a deer when a semi-truck rammed into the back of the carrier. The semi-truck then burst into flames.
Police say no one was hurt in the crash.
We’ve checked with police, and they say the northbound side of the freeway is still closed.
