Northbound lanes of I-75 reopen near Gibsonton on-ramp after earlier crash

Authorities have reopened two lanes on Interstate 75 northbound after an earlier crash Wednesday but caution that traffic in both directions on the highway is moving slowly in both directions.

The crash involved three vehicles, including one that spilled a large number of roofing nails across the highway, requiring the closure of all northbound lanes initially.

Motorists are still being encouraged to use alternative routes to avoid traffic delays, such as U.S. highways 301 or 41.
