Motorist left scene of fatal crash because "she’s 20 years old"

CAMP WASHINGTON — – A 20-year-old motorist faces a vehicular homicide charge in a fatal hit-skip accident on northbound Interstate 75 Monday.

Brittany Ison of Delhi Township was behind the wheel of a 1993 Honda Civic that took off after hitting the back of Jason Claypool’s motorcycle just before 7:30 a.m. on I-75 at I-74, according to the Cincinnati Police Traffic Unit.

The impact forced Claypool, 39, who was not wearing a helmet, into the guardrail.

Ison also faces a charge of leaving the scene of an accident.

She was booked into the Hamilton County jail about 9 p.m. Monday and will make her first court appearance today.
