Man flown from crash scene on I-75

A rollover crash on Interstate 75 shut down traffic as CareFlight responded to transport a victim from the scene.

The crash was dispatched just after 1:30 a.m. as a reported rollover with a possible ejection north of the US 40 exit in the southbound lanes of I-75.

Medics and police responding to the scene requested CareFlight to transport the victim, who was laying outside of the car, according to dispatch records.

The man was unresponsive when he was flown to Miami Valley Hospital.

It is unknown how the man came to rest laying on the side of the interstate. The vehicle he was driving was crashed off the roadway into a fence. Investigators are looking into the cause of the crash.

State Highway Patrol troopers said speed and alcohol could be possible factors in the crash.

The identification of the male victim has not been released. Troopers said he had no identification or driver’s license on him, and none were found inside of the vehicle, which had Michigan plates.

The crash remains under investigation.
