I-75 southbound reduced to one lane near Laurel-Whitley Co. line – WBIR

I-75 southbound near the Laurel-Whitley County line has been reduced to one lane until further notice, says the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

They say the lane closure comes after bridge inspectors found a crack in the bridge’s steel structure. The right lane will be closed until repairs are complete.

Officials say the speed limit in the area has temporarily been reduced to 55 mph.

An adjacent northbound bridge on I-75 has been down to one lane since Thursday due to similar issues.
