The FHP report says Lisa Ferrey was heading west on Big Bend Road in a Nissan Altima when she came to the intersection at the entrance ramp to I-75 northbound. When Ferrey made a left turn onto I-75 through the intersection, she failed to yield to Omar Aguado’s truck who had the right-of-way.

Ferrey’s car hit the truck head-on and came to a rest in the center median. Aguado’s truck overturned on its right side, spilling its dirt load blocking the right lane and the I-75 southbound exit ramp lane.

Ferrey, 46, was taken to Tampa General where she was treated for minor injuries. Aguado, 47, was also taken to Tampa General to be checked out.

The road was closed for a couple of hours while crews worked to clean up the area.

So far, no charges have been filed.
