A Findlay man died Friday after he lost control of his pickup on state Route 12 just west of Interstate 75, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
Richard Oates, 59, was pronounced dead at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
Troopers were trying to determine whether Oates suffered a medical problem that caused the crash. They said he was driving west on Route 12 at about 8:30 a.m. when he drove off the right side of the road and hit the curb in the intersection at Stanford Parkway before striking a fence at Findlay Animal Clinic.
