BLUFFTON — A crash involving six vehicles on Interstate 75 north of state Route 235 was under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

At 9:25 a.m. Saturday, Walter Gordon, 42, of Smyrna, Ga., was stopped in traffic because of a previous crash. His vehicle, a 2008 Chrysler Aspen, was rear-ended by a 2007 Freightliner driven by Amos Kadja, 44, of Pickerington. The tractor-trailer then jack-knifed and struck Tamera Henry, 43, of Bluffton, driving a Chevrolet Equinox. The tractor-trailer continued to jack-knife and struck a 2014 Volvo tractor-trailer driven by Yves Lefort, 48, of St. Chrysotome, Quebec. Kadja’s vehicle continued to slide on the roadway and made contact with a 2008 Dodge Dakota, driven by James Steen, 59, of Findlay. Steen’s vehicle then lost control and struck a 2014 Chrysler 200, driven by Abdiaziz Awale, of Ontario, Canada.

Awale was taken to Blachard Valley Regional Health Center in Findlay for non-life-threatening injuries.

No citations had been issued in relation to the incident late Saturday.
